    Arrive Tasmania
    Upon arrival, you’ll meet your private guide and depart for Derwent Bridge to view "The Wall", a wooden sculpture depicting Tasmania’s history. Continue on a stroll around Lake St. Clair, Australia’s deepest lake and part of the UNESCO Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area. Enjoy a walk along the Franklin River and view the stunning Nelson Waterfalls before arriving at picturesque Strahan on Tasmania’s west coast. You'll spend the night at Strahan Village, in a Hilltop Harbour View Executive Room.

    Day 2
    Gordon River Cruise & Cradle Mountain
    Today begins with a scenic cruise on the Gordon River. Traverse through the pristine ancient wilderness, while watching for White-bellied Sea Eagles and the curious dolphins. Stop at Heritage Landing for a temperate rainforest walk and then explore Sarah Island, site of Tasmania’s most remote and notorious convict settlement. After a buffet lunch on board, you’ll drive into the impressive Cradle Mountain National Park. At the end of the day, you'll return to your Contemporary Spa Cabin at the Cradle Mountain Lodge

    Cradle Mountain
    Spend the day exploring the glacial peaks and lakes at Cradle Mountain National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With your private guide, walk around glacial Dove Lake, and observe the park’s diverse alpine terrain and notable birdlife, including Currawongs and Wedge-tailed Eagles. Visit the Cradle Mountain Wilderness Gallery, home to an international collection of dramatic nature photography and enjoy an evening at leisure before retiring for the night at the Cradle Mountain Lodge

    Cradle Mountain to Freycinet National Park
    Depart Cradle Mountain and tour through rolling hills and historic midlands to the sunny east coast, and the renowned Freycinet Peninsula. Explore the expansive and incredibly white “Friendly Beaches” before arriving at your accommodation, the Freycinet Lodge, where you will stay in a cabin in the heart of Freycinet National Park. This evening is yours to explore on your own and take in the magnificent views of the rugged “Hazards” granite boulder range from Richardson’s Beach.

    Freycinet National Park
    Enjoy guided walks through the park’s coastal coves and along cliff-tops trails and white sand beaches. Visit the Cape Tourville Lighthouse, and watch for the white-bellied sea eagles and Australian gannets that forage for food along the cliffs. Explore the magnificent Wineglass Bay while your guide introduces you to the unique flora and fauna of the peninsula, including the frequently spotted marsupials such as possums, wallabies, and wombats. You’ll return for the evening to your cabin at the Freycinet Lodge

    Freycinet to Port Arthur
    This morning depart for the Tasman Peninsula and the Port Arthur Historic Site, a museum and former convict settlement, one of Australia's most significant heritage areas. Enjoy a personalized tour of this historic penal site. Next, visit some of the region’s noted natural sites, learning about the fascinating coastal geology of the area. Late afternoon arrive in Hobart, Tasmania’s scenic capital city where you’ll spend the night at the Henry Jones Art Hotel

    Meet the Island's Icon Before You Depart
    Begin today with a private tour of Bonorong Wildlife Park, housing Tasmania’s iconic animals including the Tasmanian Devil, or visit the “MONA,” a unique and controversial art museum. Then drive to the Coal River Valley, an area with boutique vineyards to sample some of the region’s award-winning wines.
