While Black Friday and Cyber Monday are chock-full of tempting travel and flight discounts, Travel Deal Tuesday or Travel Tuesday, as it’s become known, has become one of the best days of the year to score a travel deal, according to the flight booking site and app Hopper.
After analyzing pricing data from the past decade, Hopper found that the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, aka Travel Tuesday, which falls on December 2 this year, has the highest volume of deals during the postholiday sales week, a promotional period that runs from Black Friday (the Friday after Thanksgiving) through the following week (also known as Cyber Week), and further into December.
So why the increase in travel deals? Hayley Berg, an economist at Hopper, explained in a statement that demand for travel is actually pretty low at the end of November and early December, when most people have already booked their holiday travel but haven’t yet started booking much for the coming year. Travel companies try to entice them to do so by rolling out attractive deals like those below.

Going (formerly Scott’s Cheap Flights): Going, a flight deals app, is offering up to 40 percent off one-, three-, or five-year memberships through December 2.
LugLess: Sometimes it’s easier to ship your luggage rather than drag it to your destinations. LugLess will ship everything from traditional suitcases to skis, bikes, and golf clubs. Use the code “25GIFT” now through January 15 to get 25 percent off its services.
Point.me: The go-to tool for booking flights with points and miles is running its biggest Premium membership deal yet. On December 2 and 3, you can snag Point.me Premium for $156 (40 percent off) and get unlimited award searches across more than 100 airlines, a personalized points strategy session, a 1:1 tutorial on using the platform, award alerts, multi-city search, and a $100 credit toward concierge booking—basically $475 of help for less than the cost of a seat upgrade.
Rosetta Stone: Rosetta Stone is offering a holiday deal through December 7, including lifetime access to all 25 languages for $149, and single-language access is $99—perfect if you want to pick up useful phrases before your next international trip.
Ship&Play: Another company that takes the hassle out of travel by shipping your luggage, skis, or golf clubs straight to your destination so you can skip check-in lines and baggage claim crowds. The insured, door-to-door service is running its best deal of the year through December 2, 2025, offering 25 percent off its services. For more on how luggage shipping works, see Afar’s guide.
TSA PreCheck: The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is rolling out a holiday deal that could speed up your next trip. The Families on the Fly promotion offers a Buy One, Get One for $15 off TSA PreCheck—an expedited security program that lets trusted travelers keep electronics and travel-size liquids in their bags and leave on belts and light jackets. And despite the name, you don’t actually need to be related to use it: The discount applies to any two travelers who sign up together, whether they’re family, friends, or just frequent travel buddies. Enrollment must take place by December 31, 2025 to qualify for the discount.
