Le Square Gardette

24 Rue Saint-Ambroise, 75011 Paris, France

This park is a 10-minute walk from me. It’s so quiet that it feels like you’re not in the city. A bunch of small spots have popped up around it and become destinations for Parisians, including Beans on Fire, a collective coffee roaster and coffee shop, and a pastry shop called Broken Biscuits that’s run by an English-Irish couple. My favorite pastry is their mini pistachio cake topped with a swirl of frosting. This appeared in the January/February 2017 issue.
