Le Calife
Dinner cruises on the Seine have been on the tourist bucket list since they were first introduced as part of the 1867 International Exposition. Some of the more modern boats lack charm and the (very expensive) food they serve is often less than stellar, giving the tradition a bad name. Le Calife is an exception to the rule. This 1939 wooden barge full of nautical brass glamour cruises the river twice a day. The menu is light and creative with inspired vegetarian options for each course and a winter garden provides a view regardless of the weather.
