This is a great photo by Robin Johnson of a family at the 2012 Oktoberfest in Breckenridge, Colo. The party is the largest in the Rocky Mountains, so it helps to have a little local's knowledge --
1. Friday and Sunday tend to be a bit quieter, so those are the best days for families and those that prefer less crowds 2. Most people access the festival from the north side of the venue, so sometimes you'll find shorter lines at the south end 3. Skip the portable toilets and head to the Riverwalk Center bathrooms for real restrooms!

Each summer, Breck Bike Week brings demos from top bike manufacturers, bike-in movies, women's clinics, and guided group rides to Breckenridge, Colo.
Quite possibly the highlight of the event is the Poker Ride. Participants ride marked trails -- some of town's top singletrack -- to collect cards in hopes of getting a winning poker hand. Even those with lame draws can still win prizes at the after-party, which is known for its killer raffle.
