Christy Hill’s “modern American” and Mediterranean-inspired cuisine has been lauded by Zagat and Bon Appétit, but even so, the food is rivaled by the panoramic blue-water vista from this hilltop site perched 100 feet above Tahoe’s shoreline. A creative and often-changing menu features entrees like Moroccan spiced lamb loin, osso bucco, and slow roasted duck. For lighter eaters, a small-plate menu offers portions substantial enough to constitute a meal (the braised pork belly is divine). Even if you’re not big on dessert, save room for the uber-rich chocolate croissant bread pudding, or the more savory pumpkin spice cake with salted caramel ice cream.

Happy Hour, Great Wine, Great Food, and Great Views
Christy Hill is a restaurant that I have returned to many times it is my favorite place to enjoy happy hour in Tahoe. During the warmer seasons a perfect end to the day and start to the evening is best enjoyed on the lower patio over looking the lake with a glass of wine, the days cheese plate, and good friends.
