While Art Mels may be off the beaten path, their fish sandwiches have been described as the best on the island—even as the best sandwich in the world by one food critic. Perfectly fried fish, with a spicy kick complimented by tartar sauce, comes served between two layers of raisin bread. “The sandwiches are as big as your face,” Joy says. “And you also have to try their homemade sherbet. The pineapple served with ginger beer is wonderful—like a slushy.” Note there is a second location of Art Mels in St. George.

Art Mel's Spicy Dicy
The fried fish sandwich on raisin bread from Art Mel's is a Bermudan tradition. But watch out, that scotch bonnet sauce is HOT!
