Many a late night in Houston ends at Poison Girl, a beloved dive bar tucked between Westheimer Road’s antique stores and secondhand shops. You’ll find a full range of cocktails, beer and wine at this eclectic bar, which has a wide outside patio perfect for lingering. Make sure to snap a photo with the oversized Cabbage Patch Kid that greets visitors while you’re there. The eclectic decor, from the lipstick-red walls to the female-inspired artwork, will offer ample conversation topics as well. Bored? Test your skills at the wall of pinball machines and arcade games. Poison Girl is open daily from 3 p.m. to 2 a.m. Be warned, however, that this place is popular — finding a seat can be a challenge on the weekend.

Houston's Favorite Dive Bar
Poison Girl is kind of a dive -- pretty weird, but worth checking out if you are looking for strange places. There's an overgrown back patio area with a giant Cabbage Patch Kid and an enormous model of the Kool-Aid man. The place is also known for having a wall full of pinball machines. Check it out if you want to see somewhere very "Houston strange." Also, house mixed drinks are dirt cheap. Photo via Poison Girl Facebook page
