The Chiesa di Sant’Antonio Abate in San Daniele del Friuli happens to be dedicated to the patron saint of pork butchers. I would say this is quite fitting for a town best known for its prosciutto. The tiny 15th-century church is often called the “Sistine Chapel of Friuli” for its vividly colored fresco cycle by Renaissance artist Martino da Udine (a.k.a. Pellegrino da San Daniele).
