Hike Mt. Bukhansan
Few people associate a wired city like Seoul with nature. However, South Korea’s capital is nestled among 37 mountains which means escaping to the great outdoors is only a subway or bus ride away. Due to its easy accessibility within the city, Bukhansan holds the Guinness Book of World Records as the national park with the highest number of visitors to per square foot. The park has numerous trails of varying difficulty that lead past temples, ancient fortress walls, waterfalls, and golden Buddha statues. Seoul’s highest peak, Baegundae, is a challenging but fun day hike that presents a perfect picnic spot and a bird’s eye views of the sprawling metropolis.
