From the Big City to a Pristine Island
Kristen Korey Pike of KK Travels Worldwide in Atlanta has created an itinerary focused on two of the most stunning areas of natural beauty in New South Wales: the Central Coast of the territory, to the north of Sydney, and Lord Howe Island, a UNESCO World Heritage site with its green peaks that rise dramatically above the ocean. Before you escape from civilization, you’ll have a chance to see the highlights of Sydney on a private tour. For the traveler who is ready to hit the beach, whether a lively urban one like Bondi in Sydney or the pristine bays of Bouddi National Park and Lord Howe Island, all you need to do is contact Kristen and then pack your swimsuit.

    Day 1
    Sights of Sydney
Upon arrival in Sydney, your private guide will meet you for a tour of the city—from famous icons to hidden gems that only a true Sydney-sider would know. See the historic Rocks area, explore the colonial architecture of Macquarie Street and enjoy spectacular views of the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge from Mrs. Macquarie’s Chair. See the glamorous Eastern Suburbs, famous Bondi Beach and the stunning views from South Head. Travel to the Northern Beaches, the pristine Hawkesbury River, and stroll the Corso at Manly. You’ll have lunch on the water and then board a private charter flight to Hardy Bay, where you will transfer to one of Australia’s luxury lodges, Pretty Beach House.

    Days 2 to 4
Bouddi and Nearby Beaches and Bays
Bouddi National Park has an astounding diversity of landscapes that you can explore over the next several days. Some other activities that we suggest and can arrange include a guided bushwalk. A stunning coastal walk to the secluded Lobster Beach, Box Head, the surf break at Tallow Beach or you can explore the Killcare to Putty Beach walk or Maitland Bay track. A guided cultural tour provides an introduction to the Aboriginal Darkinjung people; you’ll learn about bush foods and medicinal uses of native plants. Or opt for one of the most exhilarating experiences you can have during your stay—a cruise on the ‘Pretty Beach Launch’. Leave time for a treatment at the Bouddi Spa.

    Days 5 to 8
    Lord Howe Island
After breakfast, a private transfer will take you to Sydney Airport for a flight to Lord Howe Island. Sitting 370 miles off the coast of mainland Australia, Lord Howe Island has been named a UNESCO World Heritage Site thanks to its pristine wilderness, dramatic beauty, and biological diversity. You’ll stay at the Cappella Lodge, the most luxurious option on the island. Explore rich green forests, relax on tranquil white beaches, and snorkel the reef. Bicycles are a great way to get around the island and are available to guests. The Capella Spa offers rejuvenating and relaxing treatments. Other activities (at an additional cost) include fishing tours, surfing, and climbing Mount Lidgbird.
