Instead, I sat in a cafe on the main square, drank a hot chocolate, and watched a wedding party make a mad dash for the local church. Then I wandered into this tiny sandal shop, Ditta Eva Caruso, and in 20 minutes, walked out with three pairs of custom shoes I helped design.
