Big Flavors Come in Small Packages
The pleasure of dining in a small family-run restaurant is all yours at Buko Nero, an intimate spot with no more than 20 tables and know for its set dinner menu. The kitchen is helmed by husband-wife team, Oscar, who is the chef (and originally from Italy), and Tracy, who attends to the customers. The Italian-Asian fusion fare such as a chilled capellini pasta with uni, scallop and konbu or seared Hokkaido sea scallops with truffle reduction is as beautifully presented as it is delicious. While the set menu is usually very appetizing, there are also ala carte options. Small and personal Buko Nero is a rare pleasure amidst Singapore’s many over-sized and loud eating establishments.
