The Wine Library: A treasure trove for wine lovers
Founded by the famous American food writer M.F.K Fisher and James Beard in the ‘60s, the Napa Valley Wine Library, nested in the St. Helena Public Library, boasts one of the largest collections of wine literature in the country. From details on classic Bordeaux vintages of the last century to the basics of viticulture to oral histories from Napa Valley history, it is a veritable treasure trove for wine lovers. Every July, the Wine Library Association hosts a massive tasting of Napa Valley wines on the sprawling lawns of the Silverado Resort.
