Atlanta’s BeltLine is the perfect example of urban renewal, with an old railroad track now a running and biking trail that winds through the city. The ever popular Eastside Trail goes from the Old Fourth Ward to Piedmont Park. It’s now undergoing expansion, to allow for more access and connections with public parks, including access points on the western and northern neighborhoods. As an added exercise bonus, you can enjoy public artworks along the trail. A number of shops and restaurants have opened along the way so you can eat your way through town. The popular Lantern Parade takes place in the fall on the trail.
