Hawaiians are crazy for Christmas (especially the Jackson 5 Christmas Album, but that’s a story for another time)! The fun kicks off at the beginning of December at Honolulu City Lights with a tree lighting ceremony, parade, and street festival. Throughout December, you can visit the giant “Shaka Claus” hangin’ loose and cooling off in the fountain in front of City Hall with Mrs. Claus. Inside the building, you’ll find decorated holiday trees created by local organizations. If you’re looking for a holiday card that will make everyone green with envy, this is a pretty darn good backdrop for a family photo.
