A Living Civil Rights Landmark
To better understand the Civil Rights Movement and its impact on Atlanta, stop by Ebenezer Baptist Church, a living, breathing landmark. The Sweet Auburn church is where both Martin Luther King Jr. and his father served as pastors. It's now a part of the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site, which also includes King's childhood home, the visitor center, and the King Center. You can see inside where King preached his sermons, and even attend a Sunday service.
