If you're a seafood-lover visiting Dubrovnik, it's worthwhile making the short trip to Mali Stone for the freshest oysters you've ever tasted.
We arrived in town, with our excellent guide, Zoran, from Vacation in Dubrovnik (link below), just as the sun was setting. We pulled into the yard of a local oyster-farmer and headed to his backyard.
As we waited by a rickety wooden table, he reached into the water and pulled out a string of dangling oysters. They were shucked and in our hands in no time flat.
We washed down the slippery, briney goodness with rich red wine poured from a plastic jug. What a way to end the day!
