Thursday night karaoke at Ana's Cantina in St. Helena is either something you should seek out or something to completely avoid depending on your definition of a good time. Popular with the CIA students (aspiring chefs, not intelligence officers, as you will see), the night can get rowdy if not downright gruesome.
But on any other night, the bar is a lively mix of tourists and locals — cooks and cellar rats and winemakers and vineyard workers— playing pool, doing shots and drinking cheap beer. The staff is friendly if you are — and if you're not? Well... try to be.
