Bowl of Soul at the Naked
So this is my favorite cafe back home. They have this delicious chamomile tea with frothed milk and honey. The drink is called bowl of soul, and the cafe "The Naked Lounge." ...or as locals and pretentious people call it, "The Naked." It is so much deliciousness! It's very relaxing, and the cafe has a great atmosphere with very interesting local art.
Coffehouse with Industrial Elements and No Shortage of Charm
Downtown Chico has several coffee shops including the well-known Starbucks and Peet's, however if you want to try something outside the norm, stop by The Naked Lounge. They have outside seating so if you're here during the spring or summer, you can grab a cool drink and enjoy the sunshine. Personally, I love the inside. The Naked Lounge always displays an amazing selection of artwork on their walls, which is one of the perks of coming here. And of course how can I not mention their use of industrial elements: walls of exposed brick, metal chairs, and hanging light fixtures. The baristas are really friendly and create fabulous latte art. After you order, you have your choice of seating in the various alcoves in the coffee house. Choose from comfy leather couches to the more typical coffee table and chairs or sit by the window with a view of the comings and goings of downtown or in the back where the walls display more artwork. Any choice you make is perfect and with a delicious coffee drink in your hand, nothing could be better.
