The Atlantic Road
This five-mile stretch of County Road 64—near Kristiansund—hops and weaves its way across islands and skerries to link the idyllic island of Averøy with the mainland. Pull over in one of the rest stops and take a walk around the foothpaths to see this remarkable feat of engineering from all angles. Spend the night at one of the nearby campsites or cabins, and you’ll have the beautiful environment virtually to yourself on a long summer evening. Perfect for bird-watching and fishing.
