Kite Beach must be a misnomer, because this stretch of Dubai’s coastline is far more than just a patch of sand. It's a community space, an open-air gym, and home to several popular cafes and restaurants. For adrenaline junkies, Kite Beach offers Wire World Adventure Park, an obstacle course for visitors of all ages. The beach is also a favorite of surfers, volleyball players, and paddle boarders. And for sunbathing enthusiasts, there's towels, lounges, and umbrellas to rent for a fee. Many Emiratis and resident expats wait to visit until after sundown (when the day's relentless heat dissipates) to go for walks, hit the running track, or order some burgers at SALT.

“This public white-sand beach is good for adults and kids. They have stand-up paddleboarding, kitesurfing, all sorts of games, trampolines, climbing walls, and a skateboard and scooter play zone.”—Maximilian Büsser
