Dubai Hits the Beach
Kite Beach must be a misnomer, because this piece of Dubai’s coastline is far more than just a beach. Kite Beach is a community space, an open-air gym, and home to several popular cafes and restaurants. For adrenaline-junkies, Kite Beach offers Wire World Adventure Park, an obstacle course for visitors of all ages with beautiful views of the coast. Kite Beach is also a favorite for surfers, volleyball players, and paddle boarders with facilities that cater to these sports. For tanning and sunbathing enthusiasts, the Beach offers towels, lounges, and umbrellas for a fee. Don't be confused, when you see people coming to the beach without a swimsuit in sight! Many Emiratis and resident expats populate the beach after sundown, when they go for walks, hit the running track or keep Salt busy with some burger orders.

“This public white-sand beach is good for adults and kids. They have stand-up paddleboarding, kitesurfing, all sorts of games, trampolines, climbing walls, and a skateboard and scooter play zone.”—Maximilian Büsser
