Tel Aviv's Carmel Market
If you are on the hunt for a great local market, definitely head to Carmel's open-air market.
Sample some of Israel's local delicacies and splurge on candies and other desserts. From my experience the vendors are friendly and don't pressure you to buy anything.
The market is open daily so there's never a bad time to visit. Tuesdays and Fridays are the best days to go to for art because these are when many of the independent artists set up shop.
Location: Carmel Street (bordered by Magen David Square and Allenby Street) and also along Nahalat Binyamin Street.
