Southerleigh Fine Food and Brewery
Run by well-known San Antonio chef Jeff Balfour, Southerleigh brings cross-cultural cuisine to the bustling Pearl Brewery complex. The carefully curated seasonal menu features mouth-watering dishes like crispy fried half chicken with coffee-crusted bacon-thyme red-eye gravy, Gulf red snapper with charred tomato sauce piquant, and pan-seared bone-in pork chops served with a hand-smashed double fried potato. The restaurant building, which was designed by Chicago architect August Maritzen, was originally called Pearl’s Brewhouse, which was built in 1894 and is a San Antonio landmark. The on-site brewery also brings beer back to the Pearl Brewery with nearly two dozen varieties on tap.
