Lighting Up The Summer Sky in Vancouver
In late July and early August the evening skies above Vancouver light up with the largest offshore fireworks competition in the world. The “Honda Celebration of Lights " is seen by as many as 400,000 spectators in English Bay and Kitsilano. Three different countries compete over three different nights. On the English Bay side of the city you will also find Shorefest happening on the same nights as the fireworks, a stage featuring live local bands before the sky is lit up. We recommend the area near the Maritime Museum for viewing. The family friendly park here brings in 2 or 3 gourmet food trucks on Fireworks nights, making it a perfect destination for a sunset picnic and a show.
