Alamo Beer Company
If you can remember the Alamo, then you won’t forget the name of this popular San Antonio brewery. Named after a beer that was brewed by Lone Star Brewing Company in the 1880s but that went dormant when Prohibition was instated, Alamo Beer Company began production in December 2014 and is now one of the most vibrant places to grab a pint or two in town. Expect a wide, picnic-table-filled beer hall as well as live music, food trucks and an annual Oktoberfest celebration. Open Thursday—Sunday, there are typically at least four beers on offer. Be sure to try the crisp, refreshing Alamo Golden Ale—it’s a local favorite.
