Devorah Lev-Tov is a Brooklyn-based freelance travel writer who covers wellness, hotels, food and drink, sustainability, and family travel. She is the author of 150 Spas You Need to Visit Before You Die and in addition to Afar, has bylines in the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Wall Street Journal, National Geographic, and Vogue.

Previously, Devorah worked as a nonfiction book editor and she has now been covering food and travel for more than a decade. She is obsessed with hotels and has traveled to more than 50 countries, often with her family of four—her husband and two young sons—giving her a unique perspective on family travel.

Devorah has lived in New York City for 20 years, with stints in Washington, D.C., Boston, Australia, Israel, and India. When she’s not writing, she can be found eating pizza and other carbs, relaxing in a spa, looking at art, reading novels, hiking, and taking her kids to Broadway shows.
