Scottsdale is a hotbed for talented chefs, thanks in part to its top-rated Le Cordon Bleu culinary campus. Some graduates, like Top Chef Stephanie Izard, hone their skills in area kitchens before moving on to larger markets. Then there’s homegrown talent like chefs Silvana Salcido Esparza (Barrio Queen) and Kevin Binkley (Binkley’s), who plant their roots here after graduation. But no matter where they come from, Scottsdale’s chefs are among the best in the country—leading an independent, locavore movement that celebrates dynamic cuisine.
