The Tigris Fish is Grilled in Dubai
In addition to South Asian communities and Western Expats, Dubai is home to a sizable Arab expat population, many of whom are fleeing war-torn countries. The Iraqi community is one such community that has contributed to Dubai's gastronomic scene with a number of restaurants, one of which is the Samad Al Iraqi Restaurant with its two branches. Try to visit the branch in Al Muraqqabat Street, one of Dubai’s older streets, and dine alongside Iraqis of all classes and backgrounds. For fish lovers and pescetarians, this restaurant is especially worth a visit for its Iraqi masgouf fish, one of the most famous Iraqi dishes that dates back to the Babylonian era.
