Looking for a place to walk or run with views of the Mississippi River? The Riverwalk along the top of the bluff might be the solution. The Riverwalk is a paved trail/sidewalk that begins where Riverside Drive heads downhill toward the river on the south end of Downtown. It continues along the top of the bluff, crossing Beale Street via a pedestrian bridge and eventually across Riverside Drive where it moves north toward Mud Island. Distances vary depending on what sections you decide to walk. It’s a couple of miles to the Auction Avenue Bridge where you can continue over the Wolf River Harbor to Mud Island where another riverside trail awaits.
