Walk the Retail Runway
Abbot Kinney is possibly the trendiest street in Los Angeles, where boho-chic beachgoers glide along its sidewalk like a runway with besties and beaux at their sides. Open up your wallet in boutiques from international designers like the quirky Dutch apparel of Scotch & Soda, curators of international design like the Scandinavian home decor of Huset, and collectors of local crafts like the eclectic array of accessories at Burro. You’ll need to take a break from treating yourself to treat yourself with some of the best vegan and organic food and drink in L.A.

Abbot Kinney's Friday Night Street Food
On my way for dinner at The Tasting Kitchen, I noticed that Abbot Kinney Boulevard was packed of street food trucks from top to bottom. Taking place every friday evening, the food trucks that usually patrol the downtown area gather together on this particular street event, which rapidly becoming a part of the popular of West LA. I was happily surprised that something that has been a signature of food culture in the UK has been adopted in such force manner by the residents of LA. American style street food gathering, the vans sell a variety of American homemade favorite dishes, like burgers, tacos, enchiladas, hotdogs, corn on a stick, waffles, fruit juices, frozen ice-cream, chinese noodles, curries and pad thai. There was even a van selling frozen greek yogurt with californian strawberries. What I liked more about it was that it was not just a bunch of vans parked on the side of the street. There were pop up artisan stands, the air was filled with the mix of smell from all those cuisines, there was music and dancing in the sidewalks, cues to get the home prepared nourishment, people eating and waking at the same time, while other persons cast a spying eye and think oh my! that looks delicious I am going to have that!
