The 29-acre Nizuc Resort & Spa excels in size and service, as well as design and amenities. The color scheme is eggshell white, soft blue, and chocolate, with the latter recurring across multiple design elements, including lamps, furniture, and tile flooring. Rooms are large and filled with sunlight, as well as lots of little extras that are part of the all-inclusive rate, including a well-stocked fridge. Staff lead many activities to keep visitors as busy as they want to be; a typical day at the resort might include learning how to roll cigars, participating in a session of paddleboard yoga, or simply trying to choose a favorite between the two pools.

For guests wanting to be just outside Cancún but not quite as far as Tulum, the area of Punta Nizuc is a convenient alternative. Nizuc Resort & Spa is a 20-minute drive from Cancún's international airport and is easily reached by taxi. The resort sits on two beaches; the surrounding waters are home to the second-largest coral reef in the world. There's plenty to do on-property, but for guests who want to explore the Riviera Maya, excursions can be arranged through the concierge to visit Maya sites and nature preserves.
