Grand Anse Beach on Terre-de-Bas, Les Saintes
The second, smaller inhabited plot on Les Saintes is Terre-de-Bas, reached by boat shuttles from Terre-de-Haut. There isn’t much to do here, save for exploring nature in its wildest state–but one of those sights that makes it worthwhile is the only beach on the island: Grande Anse. It’s rarely crowded, and offers nearly a mile of golden sand, that blue bay water, and the tranquility found on an rustic, undeveloped plot. You’ll find a local restaurant on site for a plate of fresh seafood and rice, at cheaper prices than Terre-de-Haut.
