Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park became Orlando's fourth Disney theme park when it opened back in 1998, and the park's vast animal, animated and thrill ride attractions have continued roll out here in ever since. If one Disney theme park can offer something for everyone in the family, it's this one. The animal lovers in your entourage will swoon over the chance to see herds of giraffe and elephants sauntering across the park's "savanna" during the Kilimanjaro Safari Rides, a fun and informative roll-through on an open-air safari vehicle. New in 2017, Pandora - The World of Avatar thrills with 3D rides and other more mild attractions for kids. And the park has all manner of roller coaster, character meet and greets, rafting rides and the like to round out the incredible animal exhibits that showcase everything from gorillas and okapis to hippos, flamingoes and a living coral reef. Standard admission tickets offer enough to keep you busy for two days here. And there are special backstage add-ons for an additional fee that include things like evening safari rides, special dining packages and behind the scenes tours with naturalists to learn about the day to day care of Disney's African elephant herd.
