My favorite piece of Abu Dhabi is the Corniche, with uninterrupted bike and pedestrian pathways, green spaces, food kiosks, and the beach. There are several beach options along this stretch of waterfront, including paid access through the hotels, public beaches, and family beaches. It is worth taking a look at the prerequisites for each and understanding what is culturally appropriate at the public beaches.

Boardwalk on the Corniche

For walkers and runners, part of the Corniche pedestrian way includes a boardwalk that divides the pathway from the beach park. Easy on runners’ shins, marvelous for some quiet solo contemplation, and perfect for an easygoing walk with a friend, the pathway is secluded from the busy Corniche Street and is a slightly quieter side of Abu Dhabi.
