After debuting in San Francisco, a new interactive installation is heading to New York to dominate your Instagram feed this August. Hurry and get your tickets before they sell out.

When the Color Factory opened in San Francisco in August 2017, it was meant to be a month-long pop-up exhibit dedicated to celebrating color. But the Instagram-friendly playground for adults and kids alike proved to be so popular that the interactive show sold out for another eight months.

Now a whole new series of installations inspired by “the colors of the city” is heading to New York’s Soho neighborhood this August, and tickets are already going fast. Starting on August 20, 20,000 square feet at 251 Spring Street will be transformed by a group of artists and creatives, including Lakwena Maciver, Emmanuelle Moureaux, Jason Polan, and Tamara Shopsin.

Color Factory New York will be open every day except Wednesdays between August 20 and September 30 from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Tickets must be purchased online in advance for $38 and are nontransferable.

The new exhibit will feature 16 different experiences for visitors, including an installation of ombré floating balloons filled with wishes written by 826NYC students, a “luminous dance floor,” and colorful My/Mo Mochi Ice Cream to snack on at the custom Mochi Bar. The signature yellow ball room that appeared in thousands of Instagrams from the San Francisco exhibit will also be coming to New York.

Earlier this summer, the Color Factory team gave New York a small taste of what’s to come by painting the sidewalks in the garden at the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum with stripes of color found on 265 streets in Manhattan. The “Manhattan Color Walk” is free and open the public until the end of July 2018.
