Meal-delivery company Blue Apron has partnered with Airbnb to bring some authentic global flair to its weekly deliveries. From April 16 until May 21, the to-your-doorstep recipe kits will feature meals from the home kitchens of Airbnb Experiences hosts, who run one- or two-day excursions—often culinary in nature—for Airbnb guests around the world. Starting off the stint are steak frites from Monia Kashmire and Nicolas Derrstroff of Paris, and later weeks move beyond the bistro to Florentine roast pork, Mexico City chicken tinga tostadas, Buenos Aires beef empanadas, Tokyo beef & rice bowl, and Shanghai kung pao chicken. Sign up and order this week to start your around-the-world kitchen tour.
After the six weeks are up, you may find yourself addicted to your regular taste of travel. Having obscure ingredients delivered in appropriately sized servings is a lot easier than scouring the isles of the Korean market for fermented garlic and gouchujang.
