Away from the fray of central London are the neighborhoods that define capital living. Though Notting Hill has been gentrified, the colored houses and secondhand markets still nod to its genteel bohemia. Start on Portobello Road for some browsing (best on Fridays, to avoid the weekend crowds), wander along Westbourne Park Road and then refuel at the Cow, David Beckham’s local pub of choice.
