Step Back in Time for Steaks and Martinis
When local restaurateurs and food mavens Brooks Reitz and Tim Mink shut down their all-day cafe Saint Alban, the neighborhood was bereft. And what they've installed in the cafe's place couldn't be more different: Saint Alban's airy, French atmosphere has been replaced with a cozy steakhouse out of the American 1950s. But like its predecessor, Little Jack's has already established itself as a neighborhood spot: it's open each day from 11 a.m. until well into the evening, and the classic, meat-heavy side of the menu (steak, sliders, pastrami) is balanced by delicious seasonal salads. The great menu of classic cocktails (Harvey Wallbangers, sidecars) rounds out the throwback experience.
