Located in the foothills of the Takshanuk Mountains and near the Ferebee Glacier, Chilkoot Lake offers majestic views and instant access to wildlife. The fish in Chilkoot Lake are wild, not stocked, and the lake contains a variety of salmon species and Dolly Varden, a type of arctic char. The lake flows into the Chilkoot River which connects to Lutak Inlet. Go fishing, kayaking, hiking, biking or take a boat ride in the lake. Spawning salmon bring brown bears here to feast. The area is also known for mountain goats, seals, bald eagles and moose.
