Nalu's South Shore Grill
1280 S Kihei Rd, Kihei, HI 96753, USA
Nalu’s South Shore GrillWhen tragedies strike — like the Paris terrorist attacks and Parkland mass shooting — Nalu’s creates mile-long “Lei of Aloha for World Peace” from local ti leaves for the victims of violence. Representatives then present it personally, while offering chants for healing. The garlands can also celebrate accomplishments like the return of the Hawaiian voyaging canoe Hōkūleʻa from its three year world-wide voyage. Aside from being a beacon of humanitarian light, the restaurant is also darn tasty! Head down to Kīhei for its fried chicken and waffle or classic loco moco (a ground beef patty and homemade gravy over brown rice, garnished with two eggs any style and black lava salt). Meat-free? No worries. Nalu’s has raw salads with Kumu Farms organic greens, and also a roasted-beet, goat-cheese version with tarragon-lemongrass-mac-nut vinaigrette.
