Cathedral of Seville

Cathedral of Seville
Seville’s cathedral, designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, is the third-largest church—and the largest cathedral—in the world. It's also the largest Gothic building in Europe. In short, it’s big. Five naves big. Built from the bones of a mosque, the architect (thought also to have designed the cathedral at Rouen) answered the religious and nationalistic fervor of the time with sheer scale. Christopher Columbus’s tomb is here.
