Tadoussac, located where the Saguenay Fjord meets the St. Lawrence River, is a 90-minute drive (126 kilometers, or 78 miles) southeast of Saguenay. This quaint coastal town happens to be the best place to go whale-watching in North America: Of the 13 species of whales that live in the St. Lawrence, four (white belugas, minke whales, fin whales and blue whales—the largest animals on the planet) can be found at the mouth of Saguenay Fjord.
