NANTA
NANTA is the longest-running show in Korean history since it first debuted in 1997. Its format is similar to Stomp: a non-verbal, musical that people of all nationalities and ages can understand. The comedic story follows a frantic kitchen staff as they prepare for an impending wedding banquet. In addition to impressive percussive performances with cooking equipment, the show incorporates many interactive moments of audience participation. NANTA is 90 minutes long and so popular that two theaters in Seoul now run it – one in Myeongdong and another in Hongdae. Each venue has an afternoon and evening viewing, with a third added on weekends. Advance reservations are recommended, seats sell out quickly.
