McConnell’s Fine Ice Creams pre-date buzzwords like local, sustainable and organic, although the husband and wife team who founded it has adhered to those standards since establishing the company in Santa Barbara 70 years ago. Crafted completely from scratch, McConnell’s pasteurizes local, grass-grazed milk & cream, working with many of the same farms and purveyors they’ve partnered with since its inception. The result is nearly two dozen flavors, from legacy favorites like Turkish Coffee and Mint Chip, to seasonal blends like Eureka Lemon and Marionberries to Masala Chai, Dates and Walnuts.
