Renaud’s Patisserie & Bistro

3315 State St, Santa Barbara, CA 93105, USA

When a client of mine told me that these were the best macaroons she’s had since leaving Paris, I had to go try them out. I’ve yet to go to France, but these are definitely the best macaroons I’ve eaten. They can be found at Renaud’s in Santa Barbara- light, crispy texture on the outside and just the right amount of moistness create a delicious cookie. These are “gluten free” for those following that kind of diet and they are so light and delicious! Renaud’s also offers lunch and breakfast. I didn’t try the lunch menu, but the breakfast dishes had a little too much butter for our taste. I’ve been to Santa Barbara twice and have returned each time for a box of these wonderful macaroons! Tip: If you go to the location on 3315 State St. (there are 2 locations) then you can walk across State St. and check out Magellan’s- a travel clothing and supply store - http://www.magellans.com/
