Little Pearl
WHen in Key West, have drinks at Little Pearl. The Nautical-themed eatery is located in the Old Town on Olivia and Elizabeth Streets, perfectly removed from the hustle bustle. The kitchen is helmed by Chef John Ingelsby and Chef Ryan Shapiro. The dining room is beautifully decorated, paying tribute to Key West's sailing culture. The main piece is a large mural of two whales. There are other festive accents like lanterns, compasses and porthole windows. Menu highlights for appetizers include the baked oysters wtih bacon, garlic and parsley butter, the heirloom tomatoes with balsamic and basil and the shrimp brushetta. The eatery has a great wine selection and the staff were incredibly knowledgeable as we picked a bottle of Rioja to pair with the appetizers we chose. Also try the seafood entrees like grilled local wahoo with vegetable risotto and red wine caper escabeche and the yellowfin tuna which is served grilled and topped on a bed of squid ink rice and sauteed with garlicy bok choy and a thai chili dressing.
