The sculptural window dressing might not make it clear right away that Ibiki is actually a clothes store and not a contemporary art gallery. The store has been known to shift identities to suit its owners’ whims, even down to its name: what used to be called Old Gold became Héritage became Ibiki, and with those transformations came tweaks to the fine fare they carry. After selling mostly top quality vintage clothing, they began carrying more and more new clothing by independent American and European labels, then more and more accessories (they have amazing, unique jewelry and handbags), and now an impressive range of books, art and design magazines, home ware items and cosmetics to go with the rest. No matter the mood of the moment, you’ll find something here, for sure.
