Clermont Lounge

789 Ponce De Leon Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30306, USA

Atlanta is, much to many locals’ despair, known as the Strip Club Capital of the South. And if there is an old, incumbent mayor of this capital, her name is the Clermont Lounge. The Clermont Motor Hotel was built in 1924 but has since been condemned. All that remains in use is the basement which opened under the name Clermont Lounge in 1968. After your first visit you might expect that some of the same employees have been here since then. It’s more dive bar than strip club, but cameras are a no no nonetheless. For the quintessential experience, go around 1 am with some $1 bills for Blondie, a dancer known to crush PBR cans in her bosom. Celebrities like Kid Rock, Anthony Bourdain, Samuel L Jackson and others have been known to frequent the lounge while in Atlanta.
