Playa La Escondida
La Paz, Baja California Sur
Playa La Escondida Baja California Sur is less saturated than other Mexican seasides, but famed beaches like Balandra are far from undiscovered. That said, certain local shores remain unspoiled. A boat-hop or thirty-minute hike over a somewhat steep desert hill (don’t try it in flip-flops) leads to Playa La Escondida, a tight beach surrounded by mountains and blessed with white sand, crystalline waters and precious few tourists. For that perfect desert-island feel, haul in your own everything: There are no shops or services.
